Who I really am keeps surprising me.

~Nikki Giovanni

A story of learning to be

I used to joke that the least interesting things about me are visible on my LinkedIn page. Then it occurred to me I could drop the last part of that sentence and simply say the least interesting things about me are visible. Full stop. I think that’s true for most of us -  that the things most beautiful and compelling about us can be hard to see. Sometimes even to ourselves.

I come from a lineage of powerful women. My mother, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers were teachers, musicians, lovers of beauty, spirituality, and their families, and I sense they were born ahead of their time.

Though all of them have passed from this physical realm, they speak to me through poetry and through pictures. I experience their messages to me as a kind of joyful relief that, at last, one of us has the freedom to tell our story without fear of persecution, isolation, and shame. Everything I do is a reflection of their faith in me and my desire for all of us to be free.

Early in life, I became disconnected from this unspoken conversation with my ancestors, instead sharpening my mind and intellect. Looking back, there's no doubt that my relentless pursuit of higher education was a form of protection - an armor against potential accusations of madness. But the wildness, the softness, the receptivity to more than what we can see has always there, even when I unknowingly tried to bury it.

Today I give thanks to access various forms of knowing across the academic, ancestral, and spiritual realms. Rather than see them in conflict, I appreciate the delicate symmetry that connects them in right relationship. And I weave together pieces from each that are most in service of my clients.

I delight in our collective becoming, and I honor how the journey unfolds in you. I'd love to accompany you wherever you are in the ongoing cycles of learning and releasing.

Guiding Principles

No matter how you encounter my work, these are the threads that run through everything do, and everything I am.

Love
I believe in the goodness in people, and that allows me to access our true nature as love itself.

Truth

I seek the deepest state of honesty, integrity, and clarity available with a devotional ferocity.

Possibility
I anchor my energetic field to a grounded state of reverence and open to an expansive state of wonder.

Liberation
I pursue our collective liberation from conditioning, containment, and stories that limit access to who we are.

Beauty
I revel in the power of beauty to alchemize our longings into unspoken states of grace.

Let's be together in beauty

Beauty is available to all of us - it is us. If you are moved by what you see here, send me message. Let's be together in beauty.
