Learning how to walk.

Landing in a puddle.
Full of secrets.

And you eat it.
Silly baby.

And it called you.
It always does.
It said, “Hey there, Precious.”
And it made you tingle,
Drawn in its direction.

Silly life.
This life,

That makes you squirm.
That crinkles under your feet.
Like condiment wrappers,
After the baseball game.
That makes you grow,
From a toddler,
To a girl,
Then a woman.
